Meet the Alpacas of Rocking Chair Farm

Join us on a 60 minute, interactive tour of our farm where you will learn about alpacas, the alpaca fiber industry, and the day to day care of the animals- hosted by the farmers themselves! Your tour will begin with Alpaca Farm 101 where we will teach guests how to safely interact with all of the animals that call our farm home. Next, we will enter the pastures to hand feed the alpacas that choose to join us. We don't force our animals to participate. They choose whether to interact or not at a level they are comfortable with. Alpacas are naturally curious animals and our herd has never had a poor interaction with guests; they are just as excited to meet you as you are to meet them! During this time we will provide you with as much information about alpacas and our operation, but feel free to ask questions! You will walk through all of our pastures meeting our herd and learning the story of each animal here. Feel free to take pictures, but don't be surprised if an alpaca joins in for a selfie or two! Sneak a kiss from one of our "PR" alpacas! Have a seat in the pastures to share cuddle time with our team of livestock guardian dogs! No tour is ever the same! Your visit will end in our farm store where guests can see items available for purchase - hand made from our herd. If you fall in love with one animal in particular, we can show you which item they contributed to!
