Lakeside Ride on Tennessee Walking Horse

experience

Weight limit 280lbs. Minimum age 5 years. No double riding. After putting on helmets, we'll match up the personality of each horse to the rider. Afterwards, we'll ride them in the corral for a minilesson to ensure that each rider knows the basic commands to control their horse. If you have physical limitations, have no fears, we have a solid mounting platform to make mounting/dismounting easy on both horse and rider. Once everyone is in good control of their mount, we will leave the confines of the corral and head onto the federal horse trail that runs in front of our farm. The trail goes right alongside the lake, through cool and shady old growth forests and next to game plots seeded for the birds of the area. We'll go through creeks, see naturally 'twisted growth' trees, and ride through clouds of butterflies. Oftentimes, we'll see River Otters, Egrets, Koots, Ducks, Geese, Bald Eagles, Osprey, White Tailed Deer and the occasional Black Bear. There are several good picture taking spots along the various trails. We'll stop and line up for couple/group pictures. On the trail back, we may do some short fast sections, so that everyone can understand why the Tennessee Walking Horse is the cadillac of the horse world! Other things to note Mobility issues - As long as guest can walk up 4 steps with handrails, they can ride. Weight limit 280lbs Maximum group size is 6
