Our GUIDES will take you on an unforgettable tour of La Jolla Ecological Reserve, an MPA (Marine Protected Area) — home to a thriving marine ecosystem that boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in all of California as an ASBS (Area of Special Biological Significance). Explore 3 distinct microhabitats in what the Kumeyaay Native Americans named Woholle or “the land of holes”. See the Rose Canyon Fault Line & experience the famous La Jolla’s Seven Sea Caves. Throughout the summer months you’ll see the biggest Leopard Shark aggregation in the world. In the winter, witness Gray Whales on their annual migration from Alaska to Baja California. During spring/ summer the sunset tours are unavailable due to daylight savings. Other things to note Kayaks are tandem (2 people per boat). We only enter 1 cave & entering is weather dependent. Prepare to get wet & have fun. Check in 30 mins early. 10% City Tax collected at arrival. We donate to 1% For Planet & Greenwave on all bookings.
